The best time to visit Simlipal and Satkosia in Odisha is during the winter and post-monsoon months, from November to March. During this period, the weather is relatively cool and pleasant, making it ideal for wildlife safaris and outdoor activities.

It's advisable to avoid the monsoon season (June to September) due to heavy rainfall, which may lead to flooding and difficulties in transportation. Summer (April to June) can be hot, so visiting during the cooler months provides a more comfortable and enjoyable experience. Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Bhubaneswar; Local Exploration

Upon your arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport or Railway Station, you will be warmly received and transferred to your hotel for check-in. In the afternoon, immerse yourself in the wonders of Nandankanan Zoological Park. The evening is at leisure at EkamraHaat. Overnight stay in Bhubaneswar.

Day 2: Journey to Satkosia Gorge

After a delicious breakfast, set forth for Satkosia via Angul. Delight in a boat cruise at Satkosia Gorge, offering encounters with numerous Mugger and Gharial (Crocodile) along the sandbanks. An afternoon trek along nature’s trail awaits. Dinner and an overnight stay at Satkosia. Optional night safari at Satkosia core area ( guided tour at extra cost)

Day 3: Drive to Bhitarkanika

Enjoy the morning views of Satkosia before checking out from the hotel. Drive directly to Bhitarkanika Wildlife National Park. Check-in at the hotel and, after an early lunch, embark on a countryside boat cruise to KalibhanjaDiha Island, approved by the Wildlife Department, for a panoramic view of the Ramsar site. Participate in the Live Aalati Darshan at Jagannath Temple in the evening. Enjoy a campfire with snacks and dinner. Overnight stay at Bhitarkanika.

Day 4: Bhitarkanika Exploration

After a hearty breakfast, explore the Bird Sanctuary, trek to the hunting tower of the Ancient King, and cruise to different creeks on a countryside boat approved by the Wildlife Department to spot crocodiles. Post lunch, visit the museum and project area. Enjoy another campfire with snacks and dinner in the evening. Overnight stay at Bhitarkanika.

Day 5: Drive to Similipal

Following breakfast, drive straight to Similipal Tiger Reserve. Check-in at the hotel, and after lunch, engage in a nature walk and nature study at the herbal nursery, followed by a visit to the Crocodile breeding farm. Dinner and a restful overnight stay at Similipal.

Day 6: Similipal Expedition

After breakfast, explore the mesmerizing Barehipani and Joranda Waterfalls and experience a Jungle Safari. Visit the Chahalacore area Zone. Dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at Similipal.

Day 7: End of Tour

Enjoy a final breakfast, check out from the hotel, and embark on your onward journey.

3. Entry fees & parking fees to any sightseeing spot

During unforeseen natural events ( e.g. landslides, roadblocks due to snowfall, floods, cancellation of flight / railways etc.) the guest might have to pay extra amount to avail immediate and necessary services as applicable.
