Winter (October to February)

This is generally considered the best time to visit Kerala. The weather is pleasant, with mild temperatures and little to no rainfall. It's an excellent time for sightseeing, outdoor activities, and enjoying the beaches, backwaters, and hill stations. The famous Kerala festivals like Onam are celebrated during this season.

Summer (March to May)

Kerala's summer season can be quite hot and humid, especially in the coastal areas. However, this is a good time to visit the hill stations like Munnar and Wayanad, where the weather remains cool and refreshing. Beaches can also be enjoyable in the evenings.

Monsoon (June to September)

Kerala experiences heavy monsoon rains during these months. While the lush green landscapes are at their most vibrant during the monsoon, it can be challenging for travel due to the continuous rainfall, flooding, and potential roadblocks. However, if you enjoy the rain and want to experience Kerala's backwaters at their fullest, this season could be appealing. Just be prepared for travel disruptions. Weather will be hot and extremely humid.

This itinerary covers the most popular destinations in Kerala with a perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural experiences, and relaxation, allowing you to discover the best of Kerala.

Day 1 - Arrival in Cochin to Munnar: Upon your arrival at Cochin Airport, you'll be assisted and then driven to the picturesque hill station of Munnar. Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy waterfalls and scenic spots. After reaching Munnar, you'll check into your hotel and have the rest of the day to relax.

Day 2 - Munnar Sightseeing: After breakfast, you'll explore the local attractions of Munnar, including Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake, and Echo Point. In the afternoon, you'll visit Rajamalai, where you can spot the rare Nilgiri Thars, a species of mountain goat. You'll spend the night in Munnar.

Day 3 - Munnar to Thekkady: After breakfast, you'll check out from your hotel and drive to Thekkady, known for its wildlife sanctuary and scenic beauty. You'll have the option to enjoy activities such as boating at Periyar Lake, visiting a spice plantation, and taking an elephant ride. You'll stay overnight in Thekkady.

Day 4 - Thekkady to Kumarakom: After breakfast, you'll drive to Kumarakom, a charming backwater hamlet on the banks of Vembanadu Lake. You'll have the opportunity to explore the backwaters by canoe, motorboat, or houseboat. Overnight accommodation is arranged in Kumarakom.

Day 5 - Kumarakom to Alleppey Houseboat: After breakfast, you'll drive to Alleppey and embark on an enchanting overnight backwater cruise in a traditionally decorated houseboat. You'll cruise through picturesque landscapes, including paddy fields, coconut groves, and local villages. Food will be served onboard, and you'll spend the night in the houseboat.

Day 6 - Alleppey to Kovalam: After breakfast on the houseboat, you'll check out and drive to the beach destination of Kovalam. You can relax on the beautiful Kovalam Beach or enjoy the stunning sunset in the evening. You'll spend the night in Kovalam.

Day 7 - Kovalam to Trivandrum Sightseeing: After breakfast, you'll embark on a sightseeing tour of Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram), the capital city of Kerala. You'll visit attractions such as Padmanabhaswami Temple, Srichitra Art Gallery, Napier Museum, and the Zoo. Overnight accommodation is in Kovalam.

Day 8 - Departure from Trivandrum: After breakfast, you'll check out from your hotel and drive to Trivandrum Airport for your onward flight, concluding your memorable journey through the enchanting landscapes of "God's Own Country."

1. Accommodation on a double sharing basis (Adults) or Triple sharing (2 Adults one kid)
2. Transport from ( and to) railway station/ airport to respective hotels for all days during the trip, including all sightseeing ( if not mentioned otherwise in the exclusion list)
3. Food as per MAP package (Breakfast, Lunch/ Diner, Evening Snacks)

Exclusions

1. Transport cost, where availing local/ govt vehicles are mandatory ( e.g. Jungle safari, visiting to border locations, availing horses or mules for specific sightseeing spots etc.) in these cases the tourist has to pay on actuals as necessary
2. Extra / special food (beverages) ordered during or outside any meal under tour package
3. Entry fees & parking fees to any sightseeing spot
4. During unforeseen natural events (e.g. landslides, roadblocks due to snowfall, floods, cancellation of flight / railways etc.) the guest might have to pay extra amount to avail immediate and necessary services as applicable. Tripsee will provide all support to ensure guest’s safety, security and best interest during such events.
