The best time to visit Meghalaya is during the months of October to April when the weather is relatively pleasant and conducive for tourism. During this period, the temperatures are moderate, and the region experiences the post-monsoon and winter seasons. Here's a breakdown of the seasons in Meghalaya:
October to November (Post-Monsoon)
This period marks the post-monsoon season, and the landscape is lush green and fresh after the rains. The weather is cool and comfortable, making it an ideal time for outdoor activities.
December to February (Winter)
Winter in Meghalaya is from December to February. The temperatures can drop, especially during the night, so visitors should carry some warm clothing. The days are generally pleasant, and this season is suitable for exploring the natural beauty of Meghalaya.
March to April (Pre-Monsoon)
Spring is a delightful time to visit Meghalaya as the flowers bloom, and the weather remains pleasant. This is a great time for trekking and enjoying outdoor activities before the onset of the monsoon
