It offers astounding views of rich green slopes, profound valleys, and snow-covered mountain tops. This little region is home to numerous unnamed beautiful waterfalls.People coming from the niche and corners of the world alongside nearby travelers accumulate to the area to absorbthe beauty of this place, primarily during pre-winter. Points to note:
· Although the trek is suitable throughout the year ensure to carry raincoats in monsoon season.
· Avoid littering the path along the trail which is home to exotic flora and fauna.
Quick Itinerary: 3 days and 2 nights from Kathmandu to Kathmandu.
· On day 1, reach Kathmandu by regular flights from India. Drive toSundariJal which is approximately 2 hours ride from Kathmandu. From Sundari Jal climb ChisaPani which will take 4 hours approximately.
· On day 2, climb to Nagarkot. The trail has a subsequent decline and gradual incline which will take nearly 7 hours.
· On day 3, visit ChanguNarayan which is a few hour’sdrive from Nagarkot. Visit BhaktapurDurbar and return to Kathmandu from where you can take your flight back to India .
Detailed Itinerary:
Day1:Reach Kathmandu (the nearest airport is Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport and there are regular flights from major Indian cities). Drive to Sundari Jal which is approximately 2 hours drive from Kathmandu. Sundari Jal in the local dialect means “beautiful waterfall”. From Sundari Jal, climb upwards until you get to the first checkpoint near Shivpuri national park. The climb from here becomes much steeper and along the path, you will find many thatches of Tamang people. After an hour of walking you will reach Mulkharkawhich is the last community village on the path to ChisaPani(2,135 m). After Mulkharka, the trail becomes more narrow and steep and leads to a deep peaceful forest.After 4 to 5 hours from here, you will finally reach ChisaPani. Retire for the day at the guest houses and home stays available here.
Day 2:Start early and head towards Nagarkot(2,175 m). The trail passes again through a beautiful forest till the path goes down abruptly ChaukiBhanjyang. Here you will see many old typical Nepali houses. You can rest and have your lunch here. The trail again inclines to Nagarkot which is one the most famous and amazing mountain viewpoints of Nepal including Mt. Everest. Here also you will get many lodges for the night.
Day 3:From Nagarkot walk down to Changu Narayan which is one of the oldest Hindu temples in Nepal. From here you will get several vehicles that will drive you back to Kathmandu via BhaktapurDurbar square which is again an old stunning historical place. From Kathmandu, you can reach India via air.
