Simanadara is a pristine hamlet, at about 20 km from  Kalimpong. 30 odd picturesque lepcha houses and a couple of tiny shops make the whole of the village, with the radiant green steps of agricultural land around it. Almost all the houses in the village are individually a thing of attraction with wonderfully crafted wall arts and paintings. The small road across the village is extremely beautiful with tree branches bulging with flowers plunging on the small trail every here and there. Simanadara is a perfect getaway destination for the nature lovers and eco tourists who want to spend some time in nature escaping the cliches of the city life. It is one of the best offbeat destinations in Kalimpong district.  

Here you can stay at our home stay in traditional bamboo and wooden cottages, having humble but all required amenities, tasty organic home cooked food and can enjoy view of winding Teesta river from the window. Light a bonfire in the front lawn at night and watch the cityscape of Geyzing town on the opposite hills, merging with starry sky, making a stunning view. Once here, you must also visit ‘Rabgay-Choeling Monastery’ walking 10-15 min from the homestay.

The nearby places like Pedong Monastery,Rikkisum, Aritar, Sillery Gaon, Icche Gaon, Lava, Ryshop, Kolakham, Durpin Dara, Ramitey Dara, Delo Hills, Kalimpong can be easily accessed from this place.
